Catching up on life

It has been way to long since I have blogged!  So much has happened since then.  I spent most of the end of summer getting ready to go back to work(school).  It was such a God thing and blessing in how it all worked out.  I was starting to think that I wasn't going to get a job (and I was okay with that), but then my principal from my old school called and there was an opening in Kindergarten.  So I was able to step back into my old school teaching Kinder again.  It was like I never left!  Such a blessing!  The transition has been much easier than I expected!  Addie is loving day care which makes it so much easier to leave her everyday and I have really enjoyed stepping back into the classroom!  I still feel so blessed that I was able to stay home with her for her first 16 months of her life, but am thankful for the new opportunities that I have been given.  Since Addie has been in daycare, she has learned so much and her vocabulary has grown immensely!  Everyday, she says a new word that I didn't know that she knew!  It's amazing how much she knows!
Warning:  Picture overload!  I figured instead of updating on the past 3 months with words, I would use pictures!  Here are some of the highlights!

At the end of July we finally were able to go to my parents lake house!  It was Addie's first time there and her first experience riding in the boat!  She wasn't quite sure what to think of it!  Her expression or lack of was hilarious the whole time!

16 months

Addie's first day of Day care- August 16th

17 months old- Visiting Nonnie and Pawpaw's house

At the end of September we headed to the beach with my parents and sister for the weekend to celebrate my mom's birthday!  We had so much fun watching Addie play in the sand and water!  She really had a lot of fun!

18 months- The month of October brought about some fun adventures!  Our great friends, Heath and Sarah and their 3 kids moved in with us for two weeks while they waited to close on their new house!  We had a lot of fun having them at our house and Addie really enjoyed living with her best friend, Joanna!!

Sarah and I took Addie and Jo Jo to a pumpkin patch!

 Best friends!
 Addie loves bubbles!

We went to Dallas to spend the weekend with Kody's family and to celebrate Levi's dedication to the Lord!  While there we went to a fun pumpkin patch!
I love this picture of Levi and Addie

Our church had a fall festival the Sunday before Halloween!  Addie dressed as a strawberry!  Isn't she the cutest strawberry you've ever seen!!!

13 and 14 months

So I have slaked on updating the blog lately so here are the newest things going on with Addie from the past few months!

She..
-now has 6 teeth

-is saying more words.  She says a lot that I don't understand but these are the few that I catch.  da-da, daddy, hey, catch(in a high pitch sound), mmmm(for more), sometimes she will say "thank you".  This past weekend she learned to say fish.  She tries to repeat words that I say but mostly it is just a high pitch sound.  She will say "mmm" and "aa" but when I say "ma" she says "da-da."  I give up on her saying mama.

-She can throw a ball pretty good.  I think we have a soft ball player on our hands!  :-)

-She will also put your hands up to catch a ball and sometimes will do so!

-She will sometimes bring me a book, doll, or a ball if I ask you too!

-She will run away from me giggling if she has something that she isn't supposed to have!

-She loves to play in the bathroom cabinets and pull EVERYTHING out!

-We have taught her to squat and turn backwards to get out of the front or back door.

-She loves popsicles!

-loves the water!  Will run around the splash pad and get all in the water!  No fear!

-Not too keen on floating on her back in the pool though!

-I love watching her when daddy gets home.  When I hear Kody's truck pull in the driveway I will tell her that daddys home.  She understands me and will look at the door and start walking towards it.  When he opens the door she starts saying dada and runs to the door with her arms up!  Melts my heart! :-)  I need to video it!

-She will now sign the sign for "more"

-She will look us straight in the eyes and drop food on the floor from her high chair after we've told her not too!  and laughs at us when we tell her no and try to discipline her!  :-(
